Art Publication Honey-Moon
Food Creativity Lab
Part of Honey-Moon, a special art publication by the Mosaic Rooms in collaboration with MA Curating and Collections at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, this project is set to explore food as a site of cultural practice, of caring, of crafting and sharing.
Starting from Danlu's first artwork inspired by her grandfather's soup. This project uses interactive prompts to invite the readers to engage with the food experience.

One of the key work featured in the publication is her painting inspired by her grandpa's soup recipe.
" It was an attempt to re-create the taste in my memory. When I was a child, whenever there was no soup with my meal, I would start being grumpy and refused to eat. To pamper me, my grandpa would make me the tomato potato Chinese pickle soup. It became a dish that I always ask for, and a taste that represents home and comfort.
To memorize my grandpa, I tried to remake the soup for the first time. But I couldn't recreate the taste. I failed, and left the food in the studio for so long that they rotted. At the end, I made a painting of the rotted food.
My exploration with food started here, and until today."
As part of the publication launch event, Danlu was invited to host a workshop to lead the participants through her creative journey, and re-create some of the acts. More than 50 people were present at the workshop.
